The Dutch Courage Tour
In the 1600's there were 180 breweries in Amsterdam and over 500 ale houses. Beer has always been an important part of Dutch culture. Bikes have always been an important part of our culture too, and as a result it is normal to ride a bike in Amsterdam after a few drinks!
On this tour, we discuss different Dutch and Belgian beers and also a little about the history of brewing and distillation within the Netherlands. We visit a brewery located in a windmill, and also a distillary from 1679! The tour ends in a local beer bar which serves over one hundred beers (beers not included in tour price). This is not designed to be a total piss-up, but if you are amazing bike riders...then maybe!
Private tours are available 7 days a week. We are often fully booked, so an advanced reservation and a deposit are preferred.
All our private tours are on high quality Electra Townie Bikes.
"It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them." - Ernest Hemingway
